Care Team Leader – 36 Hours | Up to £14.50ph | Beautiful Residential & Dementia Care Home

 

Our client is looking for a compassionate, experienced Care Team Leader to join their dedicated team in a welcoming, purpose-built care home offering high-quality residential and dementia care for older adults. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead with empathy, share your expertise, and make a real difference every day.

 

As a Care Team Leader, you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of the home, supporting a committed care team and ensuring the best possible experience for residents. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with senior care experience who’s ready to step up and lead by example, while staying close to the heart of the work — delivering exceptional, person-centred care.

 

What You’ll Need

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a care home setting is essential
  • Proven experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or equivalent
  • Confident in administering medication and leading a care shift
  • Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for working with older adults, particularly those living with dementia

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the care team on shift, promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and kindness
  • Oversee daily care delivery, ensuring it meets each resident’s individual needs and preferences
  • Administer medication in line with best practices and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records and care plans
  • Support new team members through mentoring and training
  • Work closely with families and external healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
  • Promote independence and wellbeing in all aspects of daily life for residents
